Please enter your car details on the left to be able to view specific car parts.
The car regulator is in essence a voltage regulator allowing enough voltage to charge the battery but preventing it from blowing out circuits. It is necessary to prevent voltage moving through the system exceeding safety levels if your vehicle has an alternator. A relay is an electromagnetic switch which powers a coil so that power wires to a particular component is connected or disconnected and is used in examples such as lighting or car alarms. The solenoid is part of your vehicle’s starting system and receives an electric current from the car battery and ignition switch when the car starts, channelling appropriate current to the starter motor.
